REAL VIDEO SKILLS
The director who brought the Fort Wayne theater-going public such creative shows as Auditioning a Ghost, Alice in Wonderland, The Spoiled Baloney Man and Dr. Frankenstreudel's Lemon Fresh Laboratory of Horrors (out of 75 different shows) brings your child a chance to learn how to operate a video camera, function as a crew, learn acting for film and how to edit. They'll be exposed to all this at one camp. Come to future camps for more experience.

I am Jeannette Jaquish and I did over 20 years of video production before beginning to write for the theater. I ran the Firehouse Theater in Fort Wayne for 3 1/2 years.

ACTIVITIES
Your child will learn real video camera techniques, learn how to play all the parts of a video crew: camera operator, slate, director, boom mic holder, and how to act for a camera.

Each camper will be given small scripting, shooting and editing exercises, and gentle feedback and correction. We have two professional Sony PD160 video cameras, tripods and microphones to use for the camp.

Our script is written with scenes to learn the different video skills such as framing a shot, arranging actors in a shot, creating dialogue, deciding shots, steady camera work, simple effects, scripting, shooting cutaways to fix jump cuts, and multi-camera shoots. Then we will create a quality video production on which each camper will act and work as crew. They will take part in the edit and download the show to QuickTime and onto a DVD for duplication.

LOCATION
The camp is NOT at the old Firehouse Theater.
The camp is located at my house at 1423 Louisedale Dr. right next to the Franke Park woods. The forest is right out my back door. I have the video equipment here. We can shoot all over the park, in the woods, at the creek, at the playground, in the zoo, the BMX track or in the neighborhood.
